Shannon and Jake tied the knot last summer at Maple Shade Farm in the New York Catskills. We loved the overall vibe of this day with an emotional mountainside ceremony and luxurious tented reception by the lake. This venue is a gem and Shannon and Jake were so filled with joy. I was so honored to have been a part of this Maple Shade Farm wedding day!
Shannon and Jake were celebrating for the third time at this event. They have many friends around the world and for that reason decided to host multiple receptions in various countries. I admire how well-traveled they are! It was a pleasure meeting the couple’s closest friends and family at the wedding.
This was my first time visiting upstate New York and I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a small, nearby town with the cutest local farmer’s market and sandwich shop. We had minimal cell reception and I made sure to take in every moment from the wedding weekend.
Something Shannon and Jake were looking forward to was including their dog, Chewy (named after Chewbecca from Star Wars), in the day’s festivities. He was incredibly sweet and very excited to spend time with his parents on their wedding day. We made sure to capture him wearing his amazing custom bow tie at the getting ready house before departing for for the venue.
This wedding was one of the most memorable events I’ve photographed to date. Thank you, Shannon and Jake, for inviting me along to capture some amazing images together! Enjoy a few of my favorites from the wedding below!
