This Baltimore backyard wedding was captured by Michelle in May 2024. Michelle is a Baltimore wedding photographer and Maryland wedding photographer available for weddings and portraits throughout Maryland, Washington DC, and beyond.

Their Story

Colleen & Killian were married on the groom’s parents’ private property in Baltimore, Maryland. A beautiful hilltop garden oasis, this location has been the home of previous family weddings for three generations. Their day included many special touches such as the wedding location, custom rings, antique wedding gowns, gelato in the rain, and vintage purses sources by the bride.

The groom’s parent’s home has hosted family weddings in years past, so naturally it was the perfect place for Colleen and Killian’s to say ‘I do.’ In the foyer, guests were greeted by a display of antique wedding dresses worn by women of the family in weddings past. They even included the wedding dress worn by Killian’s great-grandmother in the 1930s!

The couple also worked with Radcliffe Jewelers to create a custom engagement ring that contains an antique diamond from the late 1800s. The groom’s wedding band is a custom design based on a ring owned by the groom’s great-grandfather (now his father’s), and is a nod to them both.

Easily, this Baltimore backyard wedding goes down as an all-time favorite wedding of mine. The story, the location, the meaningful touches—all come together for a couple with strong family ties. We love the love they share and I know that future Naylors will be the luckiest to marry at such a special and meaningful location.
