About the Session

I met Juli and Peyton last August for their engagement photos at the iconic Eudora Welty House & Gardens in Jackson. The EWH is a timeless Tudor landmark in the heart of Belhaven and was once the home of writer, published author, and Pulitzer Prize winner Eudora Welty.

Juli told me she was excited about this location because it’s where Peyton proposed. We enjoyed casually exploring the gardens in bloom and playing in the midday light. Juli and Peyton were down for pretty much anything, so we enjoyed getting creative with some 35mm film and hard shadows. And as an amateur gardener myself, I had to include a few photos of the beautiful flowers!

Later, we ended our session across the street on the grounds of Belhaven University. Those big, expansive oak trees never disappoint! Juli and Peyton’s November wedding at The Reed House at Live Oaks couldn’t come soon enough!
