This sweet couple’s session almost didn’t happen because of bad weather. Remember that 6-week span of rain in April/May that resulted in downpours every single weekend? Yeah, that! We were expected to see 80% precipitation at Great Falls Park in Potomac, but the rain miraculously left DC on Saturday morning and we were blessed to have beautiful, misty sunshine for our Sunday evening session!

Veronica and Patrick are a couple I’m so excited about. They shared a great story with me of how they met while working in the hotel industry. Veronica invited Patrick to a Fourth of July party after he, having recently moved to town, didn’t have any holiday plans but lots of free time. The two hit it off on July 4th and I thought it was only appropriate to share their session around the national holiday. They even coordinated with red, white, and blue outfits! I’m looking forward to what the future has in store for this duo and can’t wait to be back at Great Marsh Estate to photograph their wedding in October!
