As a Mississippi wedding photographer, I really enjoyed photographing Amanda and Brent’s Henry Smith House wedding in Picayune last November! Amanda is someone who trusted me from the very beginning. She has impeccable style which could be seen throughout the day in textures of lace, burlap, and rosemary.
Amanda and Brent were so gracious with me traveling back for the day. Although we were only together for six hours, it felt like much longer! The venue is real gem sitting in the middle of rural Picayune, Mississippi.
The wedding couple decided to forego a first look and see each other traditionally down the aisle. I always love that moment either way! We took a few moments for couples portraits at sunset before joining the guests for dinner. Amanda & Brent left the celebration by way of sparklers, which are so fun of course! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy a few favorite images from their gorgeous day!
I think something which made this whole process extra special for Amanda was her being able to wear grandmother’s wrist cuff, which accounted for her “something old.” What a beautiful way for her to honor her grandmother and wear it on such a special day in their lives.
Prior to the wedding, Amanda and Brent opted to exchange hand written letters. Since they were unable to see each other before the ceremony, it was even more special and only added to the anticipation of seeing one another.
The family and friends of the couple were overjoyed and full of love during this special time. As for the other guests, the DJ’s music allowed for dancing the night away.
If you enjoyed this post, you’ll love Brent and Cherie’s gulf coast Redding House wedding!
