This Moongate Garden bridal session in Washington DC was captured by Michelle Whitley in April 2022. Michelle is a District of Columbia portrait photographer and Washington DC wedding photographer available for weddings and portraits throughout DC and beyond.
I was elated when Elizabeth decided on Moongate Garden for her bridal session in Washington DC. Modern Trousseau, a Washington DC bridal atelier, created the custom couture gown at their flagship store in Connecticut. The dress is a timeless ballgown silhouette. It also features a modern square neckline in front and statement sateen bow in the back. Elizabeth adorned the dress with a delicate cathedral-length veil to complete the look. I also had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth’s mother, Kathy, who joined us for the session.
Elizabeth and her fiancĂ©, Taylor, met in law school in Washington, DC. After some time of dating, Taylor proposed to Elizabeth at the US Capitol in December 2021. They married in May of 2022 in Elizabeth’s home state of Mississippi. The couple exchanged vows at First Baptist of Jackson. Later, they held a formal reception for invited guests at The Country Club of Jackson.
