This romantic Nashville garden wedding editorial is one from my renaissance dreams, with lush floral centerpieces, classic vignettes, and stunning golden light. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite photos from the shoot. The setup was inspired by French painter, Claude Monet and hosted by Sophie Kaye Photography and Eastmade Co. of New York and Baltimore. It was my first time shooting in Nashville, so I was excited to find something similar to the east coast, New England Style.
The location was at Reba McEntire’s former home called The Estate at Cherokee Dock, a lovely private setting on the water that helped build our story. Nava Floral provided the floral elements, and can be seen throughout the photos. Monet’s paintings are different because he used layers upon layers when building landscapes. Our stylist, Elizabeth, focused on layering florals throughout different elements of the shoot, keeping colors and textures consistent. I was especially inspired by the vision of Marchesa gowns in person. These dresses adorned in floral appliqué were some of the most romantic I’d seen. There are many brides around DC who would love that!
