About the Shoot
I captured these images at Elizabeth Fogarty Photography’s fourth annual workshop at Salamander Resort & Spa. Salamander Resort is an expansive luxury wedding venue located in Middleburg, Virginia, about an hour drive outside Washington, D.C. Salamander has everything needed for a memorable wedding day such as accommodations, catering, and more. Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an all-inclusive wedding experience.
During the workshop I met Jenna from Pop the Cork Designs, a Washington, DC wedding planner & designer. We captured a thoughtfully decorated tablescape with pretty blush accents. Something Vintage provided the rentals and Holly Chapple created a few stunning floral centerpieces. Lastly, we captured portraits of the models while Jenna and her team broke down the setups.
We spent the morning in a classroom setting and later the afternoon outdoors shooting hands-on. In the meantime, I enjoyed that Liz was open about her shooting process and as a result, it was a wonderful learning experience. Wedding Sparrow featured my images in April 2017 and I’m thrilled!
