Modern & exceptional wedding photography.

Laura and Connor’s wedding day at the Jefferson Memorial and City Winery was so absolutely iconic. Sarah Street asked me to be second photographer to help capture key moments of the day, and it was the most memorable wedding!

City Winery is a newer wedding venue in the city and I was very impressed! It boasts 4 levels with a barrel room on the first floor. The second and third floors are both event spaces, and includes an outdoor cocktail spaces overlooking downtown. The fourth level is an outdoor space perfect for the ceremony, which can be oriented to whatever direction you choose. In my experience, I found that a backlit ceremony (with the sun behind you facing the alter) looks best in photos!

Laura and Connor had their First Look at the Jefferson Memorial. Although it was a busy day at the monuments, most tourists respected the couple and gave them space! You can never go wrong with the classic architecture of historic DC. If you’re interested in having photos taken at any of the DC monuments, it’s important you have a verified permit so you don’t get kicked out! You can get more information on permits here.
