Double-header wedding weddings are not new to me, and it’s rare that I ever take them on. For my sanity and mental well-being, I only consider them when both events together just sound too good to pass up! I primarily shoot Saturdays with Sundays usually being the double header day, and that was the case this time shooting again with Emily Blumberg in Richmond for this Historic Mankin Mansion wedding.
Ines and William married at the Historic Mankin Mansion in Richmond, Virginia. I immediately recognized this venue because I had seen Katelyn James work there before in her education classes. What a stunning venue, friends! It definitely shines brightly on its own. Ines wore a beautiful lace off-the-shoulder gown (my favorite silouette!), and William chose a black tuxedo. They did a first look in the garden, followed by a few minutes of portraits alone and then with the full wedding party. The ladies wore pink and they groomsmen wore black in conjunction with William.
The ceremony spot at Mankin Mansion is absolutely killer (see below). I was obsessing over how the light hits in certain spots throughout. You won’t regret choosing this location to have a wedding, as there are so many options! Mankin Mansion even has both bride and groom getting ready suites. As a photographer, I appreciate how close they are on the property.
After they wed, Ines and William’s enjoyed a sunset cocktail hour on the patio with drinks and gelato. You heard me right, I said gelato! It was the cutest detail I’ve ever seen, and I’ll be sure to link the company below! Later in the evening we enjoyed toasts, dancing, and a memorable sparkler exit.
