Cherie and Brent were one of the first couples who hired me as a Mississippi wedding photographer for their summer Redding House celebration in Biloxi. I still remember their day so fondly and having a wonderful time!
This couple has the best style. I mean honestly – I felt so lucky to have been hired to capture such a chic wedding in my early days. The bride’s dress was BHLDN, a very lovely tulle strapless dress with clip-over cardigan. Brent wore a custom suit with vest in a flattering gray. Together with their guests, they had achieved the loveliest champagne color palette, and it was the coolest suprise!
I had been to The Redding House once before for our friend Jessie’s wedding, so I was familiar with the venue. Although it’s quite dark for my style now, it’s quaint and cute, and totally a venue I’d shoot at again (looking at you, engaged ladies!). This was also the first wedding I ever photographed on film! I used a 35mm Canon AE-1 Program throughout the day. I enjoy looking back on those images and see time and time again how far I’ve come as a film photographer.
Thanks again, Cherie and Brent, for trusting my vision for your special day. I wouldn’t have done it any other way, and so honored to have been a part!
