How They Met
“We met at work in the fall of 2016. Chris was actually the first person in my new group that I met and apparently referred to me as the “cute new scientist.” The first thing we talked about were our dogs and we immediately felt comfortable with each other. A few years later I was going through a really tough personal time. Chris was there for me with his dog who we were training. That’s when I realized that there was something special here and we decided to give dating a shot. We’ve been inseparable ever since!”
What’s the proposal story?
“For weeks we had a plan that Patty’s family was coming down to see our newly renovated house and have lunch. So when Chris suggested breakfast together before getting things ready (which is unusual because Chris tends to sleep in much later), I didn’t think much of it. He made my childhood favorite breakfast of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and we chatted during breakfast.
When we were done he looked at me and said, “Have you figured out what you’re getting me for my birthday?” I said “No.” He stood up, grabbed my hand, got down on one knee and said, “You could give me the greatest gift… Patty, will you marry me?” Of course I said, “Yes!” and we spent the afternoon celebrating with my family. It turns out he told his family he was going to do that the night before.”
Patty and Chris are a true love story. I enjoyed strolling the Baltimore Inner Harbor with them. We absolutely cannot wait to capture their wedding at Stone Manor Country Club this May!
