Nicole and Christian were all smiles and warm hearts at their rustic Whitehall Estate wedding in Bluemont last fall. Jenny Bosak asked me to second shoot and I was honestly so surprised by this gem of a venue. Whitehall Estate is located in Bluemont, just under an hour outside Washington, DC. It’s an perfect blend of classic ballroom, manor, estate, and private home, all wrapped up inside gorgeous rolling hills. It has been a while since I’d experienced a location that offers so much!
The wedding couple chose to do a first look before portraits. We took a few photos in the shade the estate building before making our way out to the hills. Nicole’s girls wore maroon while Christian’s groomsmen wore gray suits. They included two flower girls in the wedding party, and I like how they chose to include them with single-stem white roses instead of a bouquet.
The ceremony took place in front of the venue under the arbor in the shade of the trees. I liked how the sun rays peeked through the leaves, backlighting the couple as they read their vows. It was a super quick one, last only about 8 minutes! Nicole and Christian danced down the aisle before taking a short break before cocktail hour.
Before joining guests for dinner, Christian gave a heartfelt toast honoring his lifelong friend and father-figure in attendance. This was one of the most moving and emotional toasts I’ve ever witnessed. As a result, I teared up and cried with everyone around me.
Thank you Jenny for bringing me along to capture another stunning wedding. Enjoy my favorite memories from the day below!
