A Washington, DC Wedding
This whimsical summer Westin Georgetown wedding was my first time shooting at the hotel and waterfront park. I was honored to be second photographer for Emily Blumberg. The Westin Georgetown is a great wedding venue because of the indoor/outdoor spaces. Their courtyard is so beautiful and provided a temperate and lovely outdoor space for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
From the hotel we took an Uber to the waterfront park. The lush trees and Key Bridge provided a gorgeous backdrop for Chelsie and Danny’s first look and portraits. While Emily was photographing Chelsie and the girls, I took Danny and the guys over by the water for some iconic groomsmen pictures with Arlington behind them.
More special moments from the day include portraits with the kids at Georgetown Waterfront Park and a sweet speech from Danny’s daughter during the reception. She teared up during her toast which made everyone else in the room cry – such a heartfelt moment! At the end of the night, Danny and Chelsie’s guests sent them off in a fun sparkler exit in the Westin’s courtyard. I just love that space!
Note: This wedding was photographed by Michelle as a second photographer for Emily Blumberg.
